Bishop Mario Grech between 28th February and 5th March visited Sannat village as a part of his tour of the diocese.
In Sannat, the bishop visited various bodies and associations, Including the Local Council, Profs Guze Aquilina Primary School and Special unit, both Sannat Lions football Club and St Margerit Band Club and the political parties clubs. The Bishop also met the youths and the Sannat Drama group.
During his visit to the St Margherit Band Club the bishop was greeted By the band whom they played the Pope athem. The children at the Sannat Primary School gave a warm welcome to the bishop with a truly wonderful celebration, with songs, miming and poems.
At the council premises the Bishop was welcomed by the mayor mr Carmel Camilleri and the councillors. During their speach both the Bishop and the Mayor highlited the importance for the parish church and the local council to work together for the benefit of the community. Both of them shared their experience in working in the community.
On Saturday 4th March the Bishop led a concelebrated mass at the St Margherit Parish church.
